Antonio (Tonino) Taragoni was born in Genova in 1931.
After completing his studies he started his brokerage activity in London with Galbraith & Pembroke. He went back to Genoa and started working for Ballestrero, Tuena & Canepa as Tanker Chartering and Sale & Purchase broker.
In 1961 he founded Nolarma Noleggi & Armamento, together with Armando Queirolo, Massimo d’Aragona and Giuseppe Schnier. In december 1977 he gave birth to Nolarma Tankers. In the eighties he has been Council Member of Intertanko. He has been in the Board of Directors of Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN), since its foundation for many years.

Antonio passed away in Genoa August 8th, 2021.
