The first company of Nolarma Group was established in 1960 by four founding partners: Antonio Taragoni, Armando Queirolo, Massimo D’Aragona and Giuseppe Schnier under the name of Nolarma Noleggi & Armamento.
The company was active as dry cargo broker, ship agent and ship manager in the International market and expanded quickly.

In 1972 Antonio Taragoni created the Tanker Department.

In 1978 Nolarma Tankers and Nolarma Dry Cargo were established as a stand alone companies.

In 1997 Studio Nolarma was created acting as Average Adjuster.

In 2013 the tanker chartering activity has been transferred to Nolarma Chartering empowered by its associated brokers. In the same year Nolarma Service S.A. has been established in Lugano working directly with Swiss based charterers.

Nolarma group is divided into various branches providing services within the shipping industry.
